Privacy Policy
Last updated October 5, 2026
Loadmark is operated by Loadmark, 1309 Coffeen Ave, Suite 200, Sheridan, WY 82801 (“Loadmark,” “we”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and who sees it. Questions: support@loadmark.io.
The short version
- We collect only what's needed to confirm that a load was picked up and delivered.
- A driver's location is used only from pickup check-in to delivery check-in, and only while the driver's Loadmark page is open.
- Rates and customer names are never shown to carriers, drivers, receivers, factors or anyone else.
- We don't sell personal information, and we never share phone numbers for marketing.
What we collect
- Account details: name, work email, password (stored scrambled; we can't read it) or Google login, and your role at your company.
- Company details: company name, type, USDOT and MC numbers, and the public FMCSA record for those numbers.
- Load details entered by the company issuing the load: pickup and delivery addresses and times, contact phone numbers, container and bill of lading numbers, and (private to that company) the rate and customer name.
- Check-ins: when a driver or receiver taps their Loadmark link, the time (from our server's clock), the phone's location if they allow it, and a random identifier stored on that phone so we can tell whether the same phone checked in at both ends.
- Live location during a load in transit, while the driver's page is open. It starts at pickup check-in and stops automatically at delivery.
- Documents such as rate confirmations, and their SHA-256 fingerprint, so any later change to the file is detected.
- Financing records: when a factor or lender records funding a load or bill of lading, we keep only a keyed fingerprint of that number, the company and the date, never the invoice, the amount or the documents.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
Who sees what
- Anyone with a load's status link: the light (green, yellow or red), one sentence, and which witnesses confirmed. No addresses, phone numbers, rates or customer names.
- The company that issued the load: everything about that load.
- The carrier on the load: status, addresses, times, the driver link and the live map. Never the rate or customer name.
- The receiver: status and estimated arrival, and the truck's position only in the final stretch.
- Factors and lenders who run a check: the final status, witnesses and completed route, and whether someone else recorded financing it (never who).
Text messages (SMS)
Loadmark sends text messages only about a specific load: a driver's check-in link, a receiver's delivery confirmation link, or a shipper's pickup code. The company that issued the load (or the carrier hauling it) provides the phone number and asks Loadmark to send the message as part of that shipment. We do not send marketing texts.
- Message frequency varies: usually 1 to 3 messages per load.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from Loadmark. Reply HELP for help, or email support@loadmark.io.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Services we use
We use trusted providers to run Loadmark: Supabase (database and login), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Mapbox (maps and addresses), Twilio (text messages), FMCSA (public carrier records) and an email delivery service. They process data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Load records, check-ins and fingerprints are kept as the permanent record of what was confirmed, so they can be relied on later (for example by a factor or in a dispute). Live location points are kept with the load. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; records of loads other companies rely on are kept, but no longer linked to your account.
Your choices
- Drivers can decline to share location; the check-in still works and says the location wasn't confirmed.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion: email support@loadmark.io.
- Reply STOP to any Loadmark text to stop texts.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, every page checks who you are before showing anything, and private links use long random codes that can't be guessed. No system is perfect: if you think something is wrong, tell us right away.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell account holders about important changes by email. See also our Terms of Service.
